Father of the Texas Trail of Fame and a Fort Worth native, Allen was recruited as general manager to lead the initial development and preservation of Stockyards Station in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. He was the inspiration, serving as the first president of the Texas Trail of Fame.
