Patrick Gottsch, the founder of Rural Media Group, grew up on his family farm in Nebraska, where he developed a deep appreciation for rural America's significance in the lives of everyday citizens. His broadcasting journey began with the Superior Livestock Auction in the Fort Worth Stockyards. For the past two decades, he dedicated himself to illuminating the stories of rural America, farmers, ranchers, and equine sports on RFD-TV.

Recently, Patrick and his daughters launched the Cowboy Channel and Cowgirl Channel, both headquartered in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Patrick was passionate and committed to promoting rodeo and Western Heritage. He consistently thought outside the box and embraced innovative projects to advance the sport of rodeo and the Western industry. Patrick passed away this past May, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the community he cherished.
